'First Choice' for quality homes for Vulnerable people

MP Visit to Ty Dewr

Ian Lucas recently visited Ty Dewr our veterans supported accommodation scheme in Wrexham. Ian was able to meet with the new Support provider “The Salvation Army” and the scheme manager Gill Corp updated him on the positive changes the scheme has undergone in recent months.
At the visit they discussed the on going issues of homelessness in Wrexham and the added substance abuse problems that often go hand in hand. Gill talked about future plans, the development of a steering group and broadening networks to ensure ongoing referrals’ to the scheme.
Ian was able to view one of the rooms which is ready to let and see first-hand how homely the individual rooms are. All residents receive a basic food parcel as a welcome gift when they move in to Ty Dewr. Whilst visiting the scheme Ian was able to see a pool competition that was taking place between the veterans currently residing at the scheme and Ian enjoyed a quick game with Dan , one of the residents .
For more information about the scheme please contact Donna Lloyd-Williams, Director of Corporate Services on 02920703758.
