We are hiring a Development Manager to deliver First Choice’s approved Development Programme, from inception to completion including liaising with all partner agencies.

The right person will have a degree or equivalent in a construction related professional qualification. Ideally, the right person will have project management experience, working in a housing related field.

Delivering homes that support independence


First Choice is at the forefront of the provision of specialised housing throughout Wales for vulnerable people with complex needs. The association is renowned for its tenant participation and we are committed to working in partnership with our stakeholders to develop best practice in development, management and maintenance of accommodation for people with additional needs, tailoring homes to support independence.


The association works closely with Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and a wide range of support providers. As an all-Wales association we are in a strong position to meet the demand for our services and to provide innovative solutions to local issues.


A brief job description

  • To be responsible for the delivery of First Choice’s approved Development Programme, from inception to completion including liaising with all partner agencies.

  • Ensure the effective delivery of tendering and management of FCHA’s development contractor processes.

  • To assist in the development of the company’s Strategic Objectives.

  • To be responsible for the updating of Associations Asset and Contracts register

  • To be responsible for ensuring inclusion of Social Value initiatives are included and monitored in all procurement contracts where applicable.

  • To be responsible for the management of all staff resources, quality standards and performance for all development contracts allocated.

  • To ensure FCHA’s Equality & Diversity Policy and other Development department related policies including the Health and Safety Policy are complied with when undertaking these duties.

  • To Manage the integration of diverse activities within a multi discipline team.

Work hours

Standard full time hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours including generous time off in lieu arrangements


Salary

£52,225 – £58,359 (SP45-SP50)


Closing date

29th September. Interviews commencing 7th October.
