About Us

First Choice Housing Association (FCHA) takes an all-encompassing holistic approach to its tenants that doesn’t end when we hand over the keys to their new home. We see ourselves as so much more than a housing provider.

Some of our tenants face significant challenges in their daily lives.  Our homes are designed to meet their varying and often complex needs. By taking a wrap-around community housing approach, we try to create the conditions that give our tenants the best possible opportunity to thrive and live independently.

Through our tenant engagement activities, we build a community around our tenants. These activities are not isolated events. They make up the majority of our annual events calendar and involve all members of FCHA staff. Our tenants and their families know us well and know who to turn to if they have an idea, a problem or just need to talk. Most importantly, our tenant engagement activities are tenant-led so ultimately, they’re responsible for shaping the decisions that impact their daily lives.

Our partners: the local authorities who commission our services, the care service providers who support our tenants and the Welsh Government who regulate our services are all part of the support network that make up our community.

First Choice Housing Association recently topped the Welsh Government’s Social landlords: Tenant Satisfaction Survey 2026 for the way registered social landlords deals with tenant repairs and maintenance.
