First Choice Housing Association is looking for an Assistant Technical Services Manager to assist the Technical Services Manager in providing an effective, economic, efficient and comprehensive property maintenance service to tenants of the Association.

Assistant Technical Services Manager - The job description
Assist in the management to provide an effective, economic, efficient and comprehensive property maintenance service to tenants of the association.
Assist in the management for the delivery and expenditure of the association’s maintenance programmes, incorporating day to day repairs, cyclical decoration, servicing, major repairs, revenue improvements, handyperson duties and the delivery of the Associations WHQS & decarbonisation programme.
Assist in the setting, monitoring and maintaining the annual technical budgets.
Assist in the management of the production of technical specifications, schedules of work and minor work contracts suitable for estimating and tender purposes, including disabled adaptations and major repair, decarbonisation and refurbishment programmes.
Monitor the completion and quality of annual maintenance inspections and pre and post inspection of work to ensure quality, value for money and compliance with specification.
Assist in the management of the association’s asbestos management plan.
To provide relevant and accurate reports either statistical or technical as requested ensuring that all records, are maintained and the maintenance system is up to date including developing new initiatives.
To ensure provision of advice on technical matters to tenants, support providers, Local Authorities, contractors, consultants and other association staff.
To provide the development team with scheme specific technical advice prior to and during the construction phase ensuring adequate technical resources are deployed at pre-handover during each development phase.

Standard full time hours are 35 per week, between 8:30am and 5:00pm
Salary
SCP35-SCP40 - £40,137-£46,21
